November and December Busy Period for the Band

 

As is normal at this time of the year the Band is looking forward to a very busy November and December with a number of events taking place.
 

Annual Collection

 

Our annual collection, postponed from September, will be held over Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th November. This is our main source of income to help pay for the running costs of the Band and you will find us a Tesco and Supervalue Stores, Greenfield Shopping Centre and in the Main Street between 11am and 5pm on the Saturday. You will also find us at the Church gates for all the masses over the week-end.

 

Annual Mass for Deceased Members

 

Each year the Band remembers all those members who have passed away over the years and our Mass this year takes place on Sunday 13th November at 1pm. It is a special occasion where the Band offers a musical tribute to those deceased members, relatives and friends of whom are invited to join in paying tribute to them.

 

Annual Concert

 

The Band’s Annual Concert is moving to the Aula Maxima on the South Campus in Maynooth College and will take place at 7.30pm on Sunday 4th December. They will be joined by the Maynooth Church Choir and the Choir from the Girl’s School in Maynooth. It will be a special occasion also for the boys and girls from the Junior Band who hope to show how they have progressed during the past year.
